ANOTHER MAJOR PIECE TO THE PUZZLE - ACTIVITY (PART 2)

Enterprise is better than ease:

How much time and effort should we put into a project that we are working on.

Keep in mind, our philosophy about our activities and our attitude about hard work will have a direct effect on the quality of our lives. What decisions we make about the ratio of labour to rest will establish our work ethic.

Enterprise is always better than ease. Every time we chose to do less then we could, our self confidence will take a direct hit from this error in judgement. If we continue to repeat this process we will soon not only see ourselves doing less, but more importantly perhaps is being less than we could.

The good news is we can reverse this process however. At any time we can decide to develop a new discipline of doing math than putting off.

Every time we choose action over ease, we develop an increasing level of self-worth, self-respect, and self-confidence. At the end of the day, it is how we feel about any activity that provides the greatest rewards.

It is not what we get, but what we become that makes us valuable.

Everything has a price, as I have mentioned earlier, and everything has its pain, but the price and the pain become doable when the promise becomes strong.

We must clearly see the end in mind to be able to produce the means by which to get it or create it.

In starting this journey, we must start with our personal Philosophy.

The ratio of activity to rest:

As Milky Way so famously stated, we need to work, rest, and play. It is important to set aside sufficient time to reenergise, regroup, and be at our full strength.

We must choose the ratio that best suits the reward that we are looking for.

Obviously with diminished labour, comes diminished rewards.

The consequence of excessive rest is mediocrity, so getting the balance right is essential.

The danger in seeking shortcuts to success:

Affirmation without discipline is delusion, Just telling ourselves we can do it, won’t get the job done, having said that if we don’t believe we can do it, we won’t get it done either.

Never allow affirmation to replace action. Feeling better does not always equal doing better. The other thing to remember is that ever we affirm, must be the truth to see any fruit from it.

Reality and awareness is always the best starting place. The power of faith starts with reality.

If we can bring ourselves to state the truth about ourselves and our circumstances, then the truth will set us free.

Sooner or later we must stop blaming people and things external and look at the subtleties of our repeated thoughts or actions that will then allow us to change our course to one that will be far more profitable and rewarding.

Change begins with choice:

Any time we choose we can make the change that will change everything. We can open a book or get a mentor or make decisions that give us greater knowledge.

Any time we can start the process of life change.

We could equally do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform or blame rather than take responsibility and move forward.

We have created our circumstances by our past choices. We have both the ability and the responsibility to make a better beginning today. We don’t need more time to search for answers for a better outcome, we need the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

We must keep coming back to those basics that make the biggest difference in how our life works out. Activity is one of those important basis that we cannot afford to neglect.
